No. Many people can be treated without surgery through a hair restoration protocol. A transplant is considered when restoration is not enough or when there are bald areas you want to recover, and always after the consultation.

Yes. Hair loss in women has its own causes, such as hormonal changes, stress or nutritional deficiencies, which are studied during the consultation to define the plan.

It analyzes genetic variants related to hair loss. It helps the physician choose the most suitable treatment for your case. It is not recommended for everyone and does not guarantee results. The results are sent to the physician, who interprets them and explains them to you during your visit, just like lab tests.

Yes. For the beard, eyebrows and small areas of the scalp we perform manual transplants using the FUE technique. The ARTAS robot is used for scalp transplants when the physician recommends it.

It is an image-guided robotic system that assists in selecting and extracting follicular units during the transplant. The design planning and implantation are performed by the medical team. La Clínica del Pelo has the only ARTAS robot in Costa Rica.

It depends on the procedure. Some techniques may cause mild discomfort, and local anesthesia is used for transplants. During the consultation, the physician explains what you will feel, the aftercare and the possible effects of each option.

The consultation costs US$100, VAT included. This amount is applied in full toward your medical treatment or procedure if you pay for it and schedule it on the same day or within the following seven calendar days. It can be the full payment or a first payment of more than US$100. It does not need to start within that period. The cost of treatment depends on the plan your case needs, so it is defined after the consultation. Restoration sessions can be purchased as a prepaid package, with a benefit for buying several sessions.

Yes. We see patients from all over the country and from abroad. Message us on WhatsApp to arrange your consultation and, if you are coming from another country, we will advise you on how long your visit should be.

It is our exclusive AI assessment system. Using a high-resolution camera and specialized software, it analyzes the scalp and the density and thickness of the hair. It supports the physician’s judgment; it does not replace it.

Because hair loss has different causes and each person responds differently. The physician defines your plan with the consultation and, when needed, with lab tests. Then, at follow-up visits, the physician checks how you respond and adjusts it. There is no magic formula that works the same for everyone.
